NodeBridge IT is a free matching service. We provide general educational information and help businesses connect with an independent managed IT services provider, but we do not deliver IT or security services ourselves.
What NodeBridge IT is, and what it is not
NodeBridge IT helps small and mid-sized US businesses understand managed IT services and find an independent provider that may fit their needs. Our service is free for businesses using it.
We are not a managed IT services provider, or MSP, which means a company that remotely supports, monitors, and maintains business technology under an ongoing service agreement. We are also not an IT company, help desk, repair shop, cybersecurity firm, insurer, law firm, or compliance consultant.
We do not manage, monitor, secure, repair, configure, back up, restore, or access your computers, network, cloud tools, email, or accounts. We do not take control of systems, and we do not make technical decisions for your business.
Information on this site is general education, not technical advice
The content on this website is meant to explain common topics in plain English. It is general educational information only. It is not technical, legal, insurance, accounting, or regulatory advice.
Every business is different. Your real needs depend on your headcount, devices, software, location, industry, and any rules that apply to you. Requirements can also vary by state and by industry.
If you decide to work with a provider, you should confirm the technical scope, response times, security work, backup process, and price directly with that provider, in writing.
No guarantees about uptime, security, or recovery
NodeBridge IT does not make promises about uninterrupted operations, breach prevention, or successful data recovery. No honest provider can promise zero downtime or an unhackable network.
We do not guarantee that any provider, service, tool, or setup will prevent outages, cyber incidents, fraud, ransomware, human error, hardware failure, vendor issues, or data loss. We also do not guarantee that any backup will restore every file in every situation.
If a provider offers a service level agreement, or SLA, that is a written document that defines service scope, response targets, and other service terms. You should review that agreement carefully and make sure it matches your needs before signing.
Matching does not equal endorsement or a promise of fit
If we connect you with an independent provider, that means we believe the provider may be worth considering based on the limited business information you choose to share with us. It does not mean we guarantee that the provider is the best choice, that the provider will accept your project, or that the provider's services will meet your needs.
You are responsible for evaluating any provider before hiring them. That includes reviewing their proposed scope, support hours, contract terms, references, onboarding process, pricing, and any exclusions.
You should also ask clear questions about security basics such as multi-factor authentication, or MFA, which means an extra login step beyond a password, backup testing, patching, which means applying software and security updates, endpoint protection, which means security tools on business computers and devices, and who will handle planning if they offer a virtual Chief Information Officer, or vCIO, which is a part-time technology planning and budgeting role.
What we collect, and what we will never ask for
To help with matching, we may collect basic business and contact details, such as your company name, location, industry, headcount, phone number, email address, and a short description of what you need.
We will never ask you to send us passwords, multi-factor authentication codes, network credentials, admin logins, backup keys, private encryption keys, or direct system access. We do not need that information to help you get matched.
For more about how we handle contact and business details, please review our Privacy Policy and Terms. If you want to start the process, you can get matched.
Your responsibility before signing with a provider
Before you sign any agreement, make sure you understand exactly what is included and what is not. Ask for the scope of work, support hours, response targets, onboarding fees, project fees, backup responsibilities, cybersecurity tasks, and any minimum contract term in writing.
If your business has industry requirements, confirm who is responsible for what. For example, HIPAA means the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which affects many healthcare-related businesses. PCI means the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, which affects businesses that handle card payments. SOC 2 is a reporting framework many vendors use to describe how they handle security and related controls. Whether those matter to you depends on your business.
If backup is part of the proposal, ask how often backups run, how they are tested, how long they are kept, and what happens during a restore. You may also hear about a 3-2-1 backup approach, which means keeping 3 copies of data, on 2 different types of storage, with 1 copy kept offsite. These are details to confirm directly with the provider, in writing.
Any pricing examples on this website are only broad ranges, not quotes. Actual cost depends on your number of users, devices, locations, software, security needs, support hours, and local market conditions.
NodeBridge IT helps you find an independent managed IT provider, but we do not do the IT work ourselves and we do not guarantee uptime, security, or recovery.
