About NodeBridge IT

NodeBridge IT helps small and mid-sized businesses understand managed IT services and connect with an independent provider that fits. Our service is free to use, and we are not an IT company.

Who we are

NodeBridge IT is a free matching service for small and mid-sized US businesses that need outside IT help. We help business owners and office managers understand what managed IT services are, what questions to ask, and how to find an independent provider that fits their situation.

We are not a managed IT services provider, or MSP, which means a company that remotely supports and maintains business technology for a monthly fee. We do not manage networks, monitor systems, repair devices, secure accounts, or access your business systems.

We focus on clear information, plain language, and practical next steps. We are especially helpful for immigrant-owned businesses, family businesses, and non-native English speakers who want a more comfortable and less confusing buying process.

Why NodeBridge IT exists

Many small businesses know they need better IT support, but do not know where to start. The industry uses a lot of technical language. Pricing can be hard to compare. Some owners end up paying for services they do not understand, while others delay needed help because the whole process feels opaque.

That problem is even harder for business owners who are working in a second language, running lean teams, or depending on family members to make technology decisions. A busy owner should not need to become an IT expert just to buy the right support.

NodeBridge IT exists to make this simpler. We translate the basics into plain English, help you think through your needs, and connect you with an independent managed IT provider that serves your area and business size. You can learn more about the process on our How It Works page.

What we do, and what we do not do

We help you understand the buying process for managed IT. That may include basic education about service models, pricing ranges, support expectations, cybersecurity terms, and what to ask in an agreement. Then, if you want, we help you find an independent provider to speak with.

We do not sell software. We do not log into your computers. We do not monitor your network. We do not perform security work, repairs, backups, migrations, or compliance work. We also do not make promises about zero downtime, breach prevention, or guaranteed recovery. No honest provider should promise an unhackable network or that problems never happen.

We only collect basic business and contact information so we can understand your needs and help with matching. We do not ask you to share passwords, network credentials, or system access with us. If you are ready to start, you can get matched or contact us.

Who we are built to help

Our service is designed for businesses that are too large to rely on ad hoc computer help, but too small to have a full internal IT department. That often includes offices, clinics, shops, professional firms, warehouses, and multi-location family businesses.

We are a strong fit for owners who want a slower, clearer buying process. Maybe you have outgrown the person who fixes things only when something breaks. Maybe you are opening a second location. Maybe you need staff support, better device management, or clearer backup planning.

We are also built for people who want communication that respects their time. You do not need to know technical terms before talking with us. If a term matters, we explain it in plain language.

How pricing usually works, and how we make money

Managed IT pricing usually depends on your headcount, number of devices, security needs, industry requirements, and local market. For many small businesses, ongoing support is often priced per user, per device, or as a monthly package. A rough range for fully managed support is often around $100 to $250 per user per month, but some businesses fall below or above that range depending on scope. These ranges are not quotes.

Some businesses also pay separately for one-time setup work, projects, hardware, software licenses, backup storage, or advanced security tools. If your business has compliance needs, costs can be higher. Requirements vary by industry and state. For example, HIPAA, which is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act for healthcare data, and PCI, which refers to payment card industry data security requirements, can affect what a provider recommends.

NodeBridge IT is free for you to use. We are paid a flat marketing fee by participating providers when we help create a fit conversation. That payment does not make us your IT company, and it does not change the fact that you choose whether to speak with any provider or move forward with anyone.

How we try to make the process easier

We start with the basics. What problems are you trying to solve. How many employees and devices do you have. Do you need everyday help desk support, which means user support for common technology issues, or are you mainly looking for a more stable long-term setup. Are you dealing with multiple locations, remote staff, or special software.

Then we help you understand common terms you may hear from providers. An SLA, or service level agreement, describes response goals and support expectations. MFA, or multi-factor authentication, adds a second sign-in step beyond a password. EDR, or endpoint detection and response, is software that helps detect suspicious activity on business computers and other endpoints, meaning devices connected to your network. Patching means installing software and security updates.

You may also hear about RMM, or remote monitoring and management software, which many providers use to watch device health and handle routine maintenance, and vCIO, or virtual Chief Information Officer, which means strategic IT planning support without hiring a full-time executive. Some businesses ask about a 3-2-1 backup approach, which means keeping 3 copies of data, on 2 different types of storage, with 1 copy kept offsite. If a provider mentions SOC 2, that usually refers to a reporting framework about how service organizations handle security and related controls.

Our job is not to turn you into a technician. It is to make sure you can have a clear conversation and recognize the difference between a thoughtful proposal and a vague one.
